Policy and Communications Interns (Fall, Spring & Summer)
CLM seeks an intern who is interested in meaningful work and able to assist with the day-to-day activities of policy and communications. We are a small but effective team and are looking for someone to help with all aspects of our nonprofit working environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: helping to draft and compile our monthly newsletters through Constant Contact; Compiling our monthly members updates about events and trainings across the state; researching policies and legislation on child welfare and juvenile justice nationally, maintaining and updating our member and media lists; periodic updates to website via WordPress; compiling relevant press clips; attending planning and strategy meetings; attending legislative briefings and hearings, and completing other office management and operations duties as assigned. An ideal candidate would work well with a small team and have excellent writing, grammar skills and attention to detail.
CLM is unable to provide interns with compensation at this time, but is invested in working with accepted applicants to obtain course credit or compensation through their institution or outside scholarships.
