HopeWell's RISE program began serving children in grades K-3 in January 2022. RISE is HopeWell's innovative solution to advance education equity and improve educational opportunities for children experiencing foster care.
RISE is home-based and moves with each child, so they will not lose services if they change schools or foster care placements. RISE aims to build students’ early literacy skills through a culturally responsive, evidence-based curriculum that is delivered by well-trained, one-on-one tutors. Tutors also work on social-emotional skill development designed to meet students’ unique needs and they provide education support to help caregivers promote learning at home and at school.
