The federal government has taken action recently that would reduce or end community programs that advance juvenile justice initiatives, divert youth from criminal activity, and support victims of crime including victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. These program cuts also included the national CASA/GAL program that supports Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardians Ad Litem in child welfare proceedings.
