Family Preservation Coalition - NOTES
Planning a Legislative Briefing in early 2026 to promote Family Support and Stabilization, and upstream efforts. (planning meetings October & November; next quarterly meeting December).
- Oct. 9, at 10am (all FPC members who can make it) – CLM brings Run of Show Draft and Resources List/Outlines; Providers let us know their Legislator Fall Program visit plans
- Nov. 13, 10am (all FPC members who can make it) – Review More Developed Resource Drafts updated by CLM; And discuss any updates to our plans
- Dec. 10 at 10am – regular FPC Meeting with full group (planning will still be on agenda)
Transition Age Youth Coalition (TAYC) - NOTES
Planning a Youth Hill Day in March with youth. Current vision based on TAYC and youth input is to promote youth aging out with needed resources, such as for LGBTQIA+ youth, young parents, and youth grappling with mental health issues or other disabilities. Goals include ensuring the Legislature understands challenges and needs related to housing, food security, higher education, vocational/secondary education, and any other transitional supports.
- Oct. 9 at 1pm (TAYC Members bring Youth to Planning Meeting with CLM TAYC)
- Nov. 13 at 1pm (TAYC Members bring Youth to Planning Meeting with CLM TAYC)
- TAYC Members and CLM engage with youth that Members bring to planning meetings to ensure we promote their priorities, know what bills they want to advocate for and how they would like to shape youth advocacy at the TAYC Youth Hill Day

Adoption Task Force - NOTES
Promote permanency, advocate for upcoming RFR release that reflects needs, and raise key challenges, engaging DCF and DMH.

FRCs Task Force - NOTES
Have been capturing re-procurement input for creation of next RFR, as well as feedback and support on legislative and budget advocacy relevant to FRCs, workforce issues and family needs.

The Foster Care Task Force
Next meeting is scheduled for October 14 at 10am. All organizations providing comprehensive foster care services are encouraged to send a staff member. Priorities include addressing the Foster Care Liability Insurance problems and managing efforts related to new state agency policies, such as concerning MAAP and any relevant administrative advocacy.
