FRCs Task Force - NOTES

Continuing to share re-procurement input for creation of next RFR. Working to invite more FRCs Directors to March and June meetings.

Foster Care Task Force - NOTES

A couple priority concerns:

  • DCF's fast permanency plan changes – concerns with quick transitions without more time for children/youth and family adjustment, planning, and continued supports; at times, lack of thorough communication to providers.
  • Providers closing homes at unprecedented rates; opening many fewer homes – harder than it used to be.
  • Liability Insurance Costs - CLM continues to work with DOI and national partners on solutions.
  • MAAPS – rigidity of having foster parent trained and in the training is extremely hard. DCF is still encouraging providers to find solutions on that front.
